Searching for the perfect weekend getaway? While I had the trip of a lifetime with my family on our trip to Spain this summer, when I came home I was feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I wasn’t quite sure why because I just came home from vacation…until I was invited to much needed trip to The American Club in Kohler, Wisconsin with my girl friends.
EXPERIENCING THE AMERICAN CLUB
Kohler is a short 3 hour drive from Chicago so we were able to leave early in the morning and arrive with plenty of time to enjoy the day. The rooms at The American Club are beautiful and spacious. I don’t remember when the last time I had the bed all to myself. It was a super comfortable bed with the softest sheets.
Kohler has an incredible selection of restaurants near The American Club. My personal favorites were the Blackwolf Run and Cucina.
FITNESS CLASSES
You know how important fitness is to me and I was so pleased with the amazing fitness classes they offer. Our group had the chance to take advantage of a few of the classes while we were there. My favorites were Yoga on the Lake, hot yoga and the Bold Cycle classes. Not only were the classes themselves enjoyable but the facilities were gorgeous!
They also have kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding available, I’ll definitely be taking advantage of those outdoor activities on my next trip to The American Club. 
THE SPA
I’m a total spa girl, I really can’t get enough of a great spa day. The Kohler Waters Spa was amazing! The spa itself is beyond beautiful and the treatments are insane. During our spa day I had their Uniquely Yours Massage and Kohler Waters Wrap Treatment. Both treatments were outstanding.
TRAP SHOOTING
After serving in the Israeli military I never thought I would hold a gun again. It was fun to do this again with the girls. Some of us (not me, unfortunately) discovered some crazy skills. I would definitely do this again on my next trip to Kohler.
This getaway was exactly what I needed! I came back relaxed, motivated and ready to plan to go back as soon as possible. It’s the perfect getaway to enjoy with girl friends or your significant other. Even if you just go for one night it will do wonders for you! Even though its so hard to take time off, I am committed to do plan a visit twice a year.
