LEATHER SHORTS AT LIFE CREATIVE

After learning about Life Creative, a unique coworking space concept in Fulton Market, I had the opportunity to tour the space. I immediately felt it would be an inspiring space to shoot at and feature on my blog.

 Life Creative lives within the headquarters of an event management company, but what I found most fascinating is that they create everything in-house including furniture that you can see in all of the photos. This means they already have all of the necessary advanced technologies and equipment to create, build, and design. To utilize the existing space and equipment, Life Creative came up with the brilliant idea to foster a sense of community amongst creatives by turning this into a coworking space accessible by a monthly membership. As a member you are permitted to use any of their equipment facilities and spaces that are available. Hello, private office! Or if you prefer community style, they have beautiful open work areas as well. You can even take a trip down memory lane and use one of their old-fashioned private phone booths in the kitchen – so cool and retro!

If you dream of starting your own business, but don’t have the cash for resources and equipment than this is the space for YOU! The best part is that membership is only $300 a month which is an incredible deal when you break down all of the benefits you receive: business consulting services, classes on various topics, advanced state-of-the-art equipment at your fingertips, unique spaces to work in, and the immeasurable benefit of surrounding yourself with like-minded creatives who will inspire you. Working alongside others who are also pursuing their dreams and passions – it doesn’t get any better than that!

Now onto the fashion! Lately I am loving my leather shorts, so I decided to showcase the two different looks below with Life Creative as my backdrop.

Leather shorts paired with a long sleeve white shirt is not only classic and chic, but you can also rock this little number when going out to lunch or dinner. Depending on your profession, you might even be able to pull this look off for the office. To dress this down a bit, I can easily throw on a pair of flats or sneakers.
