If I could only keep a few items in my closet, denim shorts and a collared shirt would for sure make the cut!
First, if you don’t have denim shorts yet (also worn here), you need to go get yourself a pair! Forget the notion that denim shorts are limited to a classic summer style.
Here I am taking them effortlessly into Fall by adding must-have over the knee boots and later in the season, I’ll add stockings too!
To play with a contrast of the masculine denim, I styled it with a feminine peplum top. Then I put on the perfect finishing touch, this amazing collar made by Israeli designer, Neat Collar (on sale now for $15). To take it one step further I decided to add my own twist to it by layering the collar with a silver link necklace (would also look amazing with this one).
You know how I love a good collared shirt ( also featured here and here ), so this accessory obviously has my name all over it! I love that now I can convert any of my tops at home into the chicest collared shirt. I promise you will love it too!
If you are not yet convinced that you need a collar in your wardrobe, let me tell you that the day I was wearing it, I got the most compliments walking down the street I have ever received, especially about the collar part!
