My weeks are always full of both work and kids events and no matter what, I am always trying to stay stylish! This past week I worked in my dream office space at Langham Chicago, attended Diner en Blanc, participated in a book swapping event at Streets of Woodfield with my Katya and Leonix, and spent a day at Great Wolf Lodge. I received a lot of questions about all of my looks this week, so I am giving you my must-haves on the blog!
The first must-have I have to share is this dreamy white dress from Free People that I wore to Diner en Blanc in Chicago. I wore the flowy dress with a belt and white booties and I am flattered that out of over 3,500 people, I was one of four people voted Best Dressed! Recreate my outfit below:
Stylist tip: Wear a white skirt or a slip under this dress–it is pretty sheer because it can also be worn as a cover-up. However, it does come in 3 other colors!
I received the most questions about this luxurious magenta velvet set from Sies Marjian. This suit is as soft as pajamas but looks so chic and makes a statement no matter what you wear with it. Can you blame me for wearing it three different ways this week?
The first way I wore this set was casually, open with a white tee for a night on a boat on Lake Michigan. The set was perfect for lounging on a boat because it seriously feels as comfortable as a tracksuit!
A few days later, I attended the book swap at Woodfield Mall, which is an amazing event for the entire family and the kids had the best time! I separated the set and wore just the velvet pants with a fringey white top and these neon pointed toe heels from Schutz (they’re on sale!).
I accessorized with these glamorous embellished sunglasses from Akira, which has been one of the best places to shop for the coolest statement pieces lately! Check out more summer accessories on my Pinterest.
Here is everything I wore the velvet suit with:
My new obsession is this striped suit from Ann Taylor, that I wore to work in the office space at Langham. I wore the suit with a wide belt and pumps both from Ann Taylor, and styled it over a lace bralette. I have more styling suggestions for this suit in 5 Ways to Style Suits and 7 Tips to Add Edge to Your Business Attire.
Last but most definitely not least, I have accessorized almost every outfit this week with these abstract face earrings from H&M! My pair is sold out but I found the exact same pair on Etsy here.
What are your current must-haves? I would love if you shared with me in the comments!
Xoxo,
Tali
