The past week was mega in the fashion world! NYFW and The Met Gala. Even though I didn’t attend, I still was keeping track of all the fabulous trends to share with you! And there were some overlaps between both The Met Gala and NYFW. I’m sure we have all seen the gorgeous gowns worn by Kendall Jenner, Zoey Deutch, and Taylor Hill. But how do you take the TRENDS you see and incorporate them into your wardrobe? I am going to tell you just that!
BRIGHT HUES
** Photos from Vogue and Elle
Bright hues were see all over the runway and The Met this past weekend. From NYFW designers: Proenza Schouler, Christian Cowan, Victor Glemaud, and Sergio Hudson just to name a few. And featured at The Met on Whoopi Goldberg, Kristine Froseth (pictured above), Diane Kruger, and Kerby Jean-Raymond (pictured above). It is promising to be one of the top trends this coming year.
Now how do you incorporate it into your wardrobe? You have two options: a pop of color or monochromatic. Monochromatic is always such a fashion moment, but for a more versatile look a pop of color is perfect! Here are some of my favorite pieces to try!
PASTELS

Pastels are such a lovely feminine element to add into your wardrobe. And it was seen on certain runways. One of them is no surprise, Moschino! This designer always tends to go more pastel and didn’t disappoint this year! Coach also had some pastel elements featured (top left).
The Met Gala saw bold colors, but also a lot of pastel spattered throughout! Kate Hudson (far right), Taylor Hill (middle right), Jackie Aina, and Anja Rubik were all seen wearing pastel elements.
The best way to incorporate this into your wardrobe is pairing it with neutral like a white bottom and pastel top, mixing with brighter hues, or again, going full monochromatic! Here are some truly amazing pieces to add to your wardobe!
LACE AND BOLD PATTERNS

The next trend seen throughout NYFW and The Met Gala is Lace/Bold Patterns. The designer who truly made the most amazing patterns this NYFW is Brandon Maxwell. And lace was seen in LaQuan Smith, Ulla Johnson, and Rodarte in NYFW alone.
The Met saw a lot of lace elements AND full lace outfits (Olivia Rodrigo middle right)! A full lace bodysuit is a mega fashion moment, but it is harder to incorporate into your everyday wear! The best way to include lace is in small lace details. Here are some options below!
METALLICS

I am so happy metallics were seen this heavily at The Met and NYFW! In my most recent post it is one of the trends to look out for, read that blog here! I promise it is going to be a trend that stays! Metallics were seen on Khaite and Tom Ford’s runway. And was seen on Kristen Stewart (middle right), Kacey Musgraves (far right), and LaQuan Smith to name a few!
The four looks above prove how easy it is to incorporate it into your everyday look! Here are even more pieces that may find their new home in your wardrobe!
