SUSTAINABLE FASHION TO FALL IN LOVE WITH: FRETT KNITWEAR

When I wore these pieces from Frett’s line of slow-made luxury knitwear, it wasn’t just love at first sight. These sweaters will make you fall in love with everything that is Frett. You know that moment when you receive a special package and the packaging itself is so special, you almost don’t want to open it? I still have goosebumps remembering this feeling from when I received three incredibly luxurious pieces from Israel-based sustainable fashion luxury knitwear brand, Frett. Frett is the creation of Meitar Karni-Zvik, who found her home in Tel Aviv after emigrating from South Africa. She studied textile design at Shenkar where she specialized in electronic knitting, and she went on to complete her Masters at the prestigious Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem. Her fine-tuned skills are more than evident in the way every Frett piece is impeccably crafted.

What is slow-fashion?

In their own words, Frett defines slow-fashion as “a design and production process that acts independently of major industry timetables, preferring timeless design over passing trends, limited production over mass quantities, and sustainable and ethical production over sweatshop contracting.”

Evolved Style That Goes With Everything

As you know, my personal style has evolved as have my priorities in life, and with that mindset shift comes a different type of wardrobe.

Frett’s unique knitwear line really meets my need for basic pieces that look and feel fabulous. The line may seem almost angelic, from the color palette, to the softness to the ethical production behind it.
