VOLUMES BOOKS
Volumes bookstore is my neighbor at my 90o x Tali styling studio, so you can imagine how often my kids are here! The sales associate Kimberly is so sweet and always hand-picks new books and toys for Leonix and Katya. Leonix’s current favorite is The Book With No Pictures and Katya loves the Dork Diaries.
GALT TOYS
On the 6th floor is the store every kid and parent loves, Galt Toys and Baby! They have the most epic creative and educational toys that you’ve never seen before. For new parents, check out the Galt Baby collection for strollers, rockers, and baby goods A to Z.
KENDRA SCOTT
Have you ever made play jewelry with your minis? Well now you can create your own real jewelry at the Kendra Scott Color Bar! Leonix joined me to make custom earrings for myself and my mother-in-law and he had so much fun. It’s such a creative Mommy and Me date idea! We love all the Kendra associates, but Courtny is our girl!!!
WISH KIDS
I can’t recommend Wish Kids enough for kids clothing. It’s a local family-owned small business, Joseph and his wife are so kind and helpful! The store carries Spanish designers like Desigual and Mayoral that you can’t get anywhere else in Chicago. They also feature accessories handmade by local Chicago moms!

TEUSCHER CHOCOLATE SHOP
I hate to admit it, but I am always treating Katya and Leonix to milk chocolates from Teuscher! You would do the same if you worked across the hall from amazing Swiss chocolate brands with the nicest associates 🙂 Moms, you have to try the champagne truffles!
ASTER HALL
My kids love visiting my 900 x Tali styling studio because they know they will get Aster Hall for lunch! The menu is super family friendly, featuring top Chicago restaurants like Au Cheval, The Rotisserie, High-Five Ramen, and the sweets bar that has the best chocolate chip cookies in Chicago.
PLAY
NEW MUSIC SCHOOL
My family was so inspired watching Sami Gershenhorn, autistic piano student at New Music School, at his 900 shops performance in March 2021. So much that Leonix immediately started taking piano lessons with Francisco and has been going non-stop!
ART SPACE 8
For art lovers like my creative kids, Art Space 8 is the coolest gallery and the hidden gem of 900 shops. Local artist Adrien Stein has a magical mirror installation here, you will freak out when you see it…
TOP GOLF
My husband Jason loves stopping here with the kids after work. It’s great for families and so nice to have in the middle of downtown Chicago!
