As many of you know, I was fortunate enough to take an amazing vacation to Spain with my family. The villa we stayed in called the Mas Rosset was like a dream. The space accommodated all 15 of us perfectly, and pictures could never capture the true beauty of the property. When we arrived we were greeted not only with beautiful scenery, but also amenities you wouldn’t expect while renting out a home for vacation. Here’s a look at Katya’s priceless reaction to the place!
The newly renovated home included a huge kitchen set, pool toys for the kids, over 6 separate bluetooth speaker outlets for our personal use and stunning suites. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the owners of the villa. Every morning started with a fresh basket from local bakeries, and they always had a quick response to any question we had. They even recommended wonderful chef who came over twice and cooked the most epic meals.
The location was perfect for all of the activities we planned on the trip as well. It was an 8 minute drive from Banyoles, a small town that was perfect for quick grocery trips, biking and kayaking with the kids, only 15 to 20 minutes away from Gerona, and an about an hour from Barcelona. We travelled to Barcelona twice, visited the iconic Gaudi’s temple, The Sagrada Familia, ate at our all time favorite Tapas 24, indulged (twice) on the most deliscios Gealato at Gelaaati Di Marco and the famous market, La Boqueria. Of course we couldn’t leave Spain without a visit at Salvador Dali museum.
Mas Rosset was the perfect place to spend quality time with family and take in the amazing scenery and experiences Spain has to offer. The villa can be expensive, however, if 7-8 families plan this trip, it can become an affordable and super luxurious experience. The space is also ideal for special celebrations, small weddings, birthdays or anniversaries. Our entire family from Israel and the US reunited at this stunning space. We felt a part of the beautiful nature of the country, and found it incredibly easy to detach from our devices an work obligations. it was a great way to get back in touch with each other and take in these precious family moments with no distractions.
Fellow mommas know that traveling with kids can be a challenge. This fortunately wasn’t the case for me this time! I planned little activities and toys to distract the kiddos while waiting in those long lines that would usually cause chaos. I packed little toys for them to play with while waiting in line or waiting for our flight, as well as sticker sets to distract them from the long waiting times by decorating their suitcases. Over time it does get easier to travel with kids, but this definitely wasn’t the case when Katya was little. Planning these things took virtually no time for me, and saved us a lot of trouble while traveling!
There is nothing better you can do for your family than taking time off in nature, and connecting with each other. It’s the best!!!!!
