My closet is now complete! And that’s thanks to all of the stunning leather pieces that I have been adding to my wardrobe. From bags, to jackets, to trenches, to jogger pants, I think it is safe to say leather is the trend that is taking over 2020! As a stylist and leather addict, I can tell you that leather is absolutely a staple and everybody can rock it, no matter your style. This blog post will tell you all the leather must-haves to get this season and I am so excited to share my favorite trend, so let’s get started…
LEATHER TRENCH COAT
There was almost no Fashion Week shows this season that was missing a leather trench from the runway! This trend personally stood out to me the most and I didn’t waste a single second to get my hands on one. Nobody does leather better than Coach, and nobody does a leather TRENCH better than Coach! This style is full of class and sophistication, and even better the leather adds edge and attitude. The modern trench style is available in a rainbow of colors from red, to pink, to navy, and everything in between.
Remember seeing this photo of JLO rocking a cherry-red leather trench coat? I couldn’t resist and had to get the same trench—my favorite part is this jacket has a detachable hood, so it is practical, too! I have been wearing it everyday and it seriously adds the perfect touch to every outfit.
The versatility of the leather trench doesn’t stop with a cool hood… it can be worn as many different ways as you can imagine. You can layer it over anything, but why not try wearing it alone? Try this look as a dress with sleek pumps and stacked belts to accentuate your waist for an effortless outfit that is sure to turn heads.
LEATHER JOGGERS
One of my favorite ways to wear leather has always been on bottom! In the winter, everyone wears leather leggings with a big cozy sweater. But with Spring coming and weather warming up, I had to switch it up. These joggers give me that same cool leather bottoms look, with even cooler details. Leather joggers can be worn with anything from sneakers, to heels, to sandals, to booties, and everything in between. The cinched waist is flattering fit on anybody and ideal for tucking in your favorite top.
I personally love to dress down my joggers for an everyday look with a graphic tee, trench jacket, and my favorite shoes. Got a business meeting? Joggers can easily be dressed up for the office with a silk cami under a blazer, pumps, and an epic bag. Night out? Try an edgy bodysuit and sandal heels for a sexy leather look.
